Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, rich in culture and religion. After you arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by your tour guide with a very smiling face, you will be kindly greeted and transfer to hotel by air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour guide will help you to check-in hotel. The rest of day is for your leisure where you will be free to explore the hotel amenities or restaurant outlets or can walk to nearby streets, shops etc.

 

 

Day 2

Kathmandu- Pokhara (B)

Today after breakfast, you will firstly fly to Pokhara which is only 30 minutes and after that you will visit Phewa Lake, Davi’s Fall and Tibetan village. Overnight in Pokhara.

Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. Situated at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley, the city is known as a center of adventure. The enchanting city with a population of around 95,000 has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serene of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic.

Phewa Lake
Phewa Lake is the largest lake in Pokhara valley and the second largest lake in Nepal. It is the ultimate lake for boating where an island temple is located at the middle of the lake. Another attraction is the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre and Annapurna range on the crystal clear water of the lake. While boating in Phewa Lake, you can see several verities of fish. Thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake.

Devi's Fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango (Hell's fall), Devi's fall (also known as Devin's or David's) is an awesome waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of Pokhara airport on the highway to Tansen. An interesting modern legend says that a foreigner named David was skinny dipping in the Pardi Khola (river) when the floodgates of the dam were opened, sweeping him into an underground passage beneath the fall, never to be seen again.

Tibetan Village
Tibetan Village Tashiling in the south and Tashil Palkhel in the north of Pokhara Valley are the two Tibetan villages, which is inhabited by the Tibetan people who keeps themselves busy by producing and trading woolen carpets and other handicrafts.

 

 

Day 3

After breakfast, you will be driven to Lumbini via Tansen from Pokhara is approx. 200 kms. South-west and takes about 6-7 hours’ drive under normal road condition. Overnight in Lumbini.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a world heritage site passes through a beautiful hill station and historical town, Tansen. The road to Lumbini, is a mountainous road with innumerable bends and is a roller coaster ride as it is too exhilarating. Lumbini is the perfect place to go to if you are into cultural, archaeological and religious treasures. With the number of stupas, meditation grounds, temples, courtyards and more, a walk in Lumbini is a walk with Buddha. Enter the birthplace of one of the greatest man of world religions - Siddharta Gautama, founder of Buddhism - and be captivated by its serene environment and meditate and reflect with its outmost tranquility and peaceful atmosphere.

 

 

Day 4

Today, you'll be driven to Chitwan from Lumbini is apprx.150 kilometers east of Lumbini and the journey takes 4 hours under normal road condition. Overnight in Chitwan with traditional Tharu Dance.

Chitwan National Park The Royal Chitwan National Park is the lush valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of Churia ranges which houses the first National Park of the Kingdom. This National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife especially the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

Tharu dance
A melodious tribal dance performed by men and women with rhyme or drums and the clashing of sticks embodies and projects how to keep away the rhino and other wild animals from the human habitat and their farming land.

 

 

Day 5

Today after breakfast, you’ll have the full-day to experience the Jungle activities with a walk, elephant safari with a ride on its back, dugout canoe ride and bird watching. Chitwan gives you the full wild experiences with the wildlife and Nature in the Background. Overnight in Chitwan.

Elephant Ride
How about a ride on an elephant’s back in the dense forest viewing the wildest of wildlife activities? Don’t you wish that there be an Elephant breeding centre to breed and rear these gigantic mammals before extinction? Yes, and it’s an opportunity not to be missed, to go in depth about their reproducing behavior.

Bird Watching
The Chitwan National Park is the realm of more than 450 species of birds, in other words, some people have commented the park as a heaven of the bird world. Take a guided tour through the forest to hear the colourful birds’ early morning chirps and hand in hand goes the beauty of the dawn.

Nature Walk or Jungle Walks
Jungle Walks allows one to explore several different habitat areas, from the flood-plain grassland to the dense Sal forests, where one gets an opportunity to encounter different animals right in front. Day 6

Chitwan - Kathmandu (B)

Today early in the morning, you'll firstly fly back to Kathmandu and then have breakfast at the hotel of Kathmandu. After breakfast, you could have a rest in your hotel. In the afternoon, we will begin our half-day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Pashupatinath Temple
6kms/4miles from Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in Pagoda Style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March.

Bouddhanath Stupa
One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, Furthermore it is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Bouddhanath is an imposing structure standing some 36 meters. The Stupa stands on the massive three level mandala style Platforms surrounded by colourful private family houses. Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list this site is considered very much like Mecca for the Buddhists and every year tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the Himalayan region visit the stupa.

Today, you could further explore Kathmandu City and have a visit to Swayambhunath Temple. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu City
Known as Kantipur, is the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. A 218 square miles of land, situated above 4400 ft above sea level, Kathmandu is the hub of Nepal's traditional culture and arts. This is the place for rest, relaxation and easy-day sightseeing of historic and artistic temples and monuments, and mountain views. Kashtamandap the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar Square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka, Seto Machendranath and the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.

Swayambhunath Temple
Located approximately 4 kms. /2.5 miles, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of Copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

 

 

Day 8

Today after breakfast, you will firstly visit Bhaktapur. After having good time in Bhaktapur, you will go to sightseeing of Changunarayan. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon) Also known as city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14 kms./9 miles east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft. above sea level. In Bhadgaon, you will visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses.

Changu Narayan
Approximately 22 kms, is the name of the deity enshrined in the Changu Narayan Temple, located near the Changunarayan village in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. The temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples of the valley, and is believed to be constructed in the 4th century. Changu Narayan is the name of Vishnu, and the Temple is dedicated to him. A stone slab discovered in the vicinity of the temple dates to the 5th century, and is the oldest such stone inscription discovered in Nepal.It is listed as one of the world heritage site by UNESCO.

Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel to the airport in time for the scheduled flight to your next destination. Before that, you can take a rest at the hotel or go for a walk nearby.
